Policies and ProceduresEXPECTATIONS:What you should expect from LACROSSE MONKEY is commitment, competence, professionalism as well as a laughter and fun. We will behonest no matter what.What we expect from you is that you let us do our job:• Make each player better• Manage expectations• Determine who should be on what team• Support each girl in her OWN process of one day playing in college if that is her goal.Our core values are respect, responsibility, commitment and having fun!All members can expect the LACROSSE MONKEY staff to represent andlive up to these values to the best of our abilities and we will expect the same from them.PLAYERS:Players should arrive at the field for tournaments 1 hour before their firstscheduled game and 30 minutes before each subsequent game. Theyshould be in full uniform and prepared to warm up at that time. Being ontime is the PLAYERS responsibility – not the parents. If this rule is notadhered to, the player will lose playing time for that game. PLAYING TIME:Each year, LACROSSE MONKEY attend tournaments of a wide variety of competition levels. Whereas the goal of some tournaments is purely fun, participation and exposure; others include a championship format. At these more competitive tournaments, it benefits the entire program for our teams to perform well. In those situations, playing time will be determined with the focus on winning. There are no guarantees of playing time.
All Players must have respect for all those involved in the program(team members, coaches, parents, officials, opponents, etc). Language, back-talking or fighting will not be tolerated and can result in termination from the team.
All Players are responsible for their own actions both on and off the field. It is expected that all players conduct themselves appropriately.
All Players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments. If a player is consistently absent, their placement on the team will be in jeopardy and subject to dismissal.
COMMUNICATION:LACROSSE MONKEY players are expected to handle ALL communication with their coaches. Coaches will not respond to text messages on their personal phones. All communication to coaches shouldbe sent via
. We encourage direct player to coach communication to help players develop this much needed skill. Parents should not discussindividual player questions or inquiries during tournament weekends. Anyinquiry should be
after 48 hours following a tournament weekend.TRAVEL:All travel costs, transportation, lodging, and meals are a separatecost from the LAX MONKEY Season fee. CLUB POLICY:Selection to a Lacrosse Monkey team is highly competitive and players who are chosen agree to abide by certain standards and principles as a necessary condition for their inclusion in the Club. Players are expected to exhibit the highest standards of sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship and to make a commitment to the Club, their coaches and their teammates to give their best at all times. Players who are selected and registered in a Lacrosse Monkey program are prohibited from playing for any other travel club lacrosse program, unless permission is granted from Club Director. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in immediate expulsion of the player from the program. RECRUITING SUPPORT:The recruiting process is a tricky one with many twists and turns. At LAXMONKEY, we are here for you every step of the way as part of yourmembership. We do not take responsibility for doing the work for our players, nor can we guarantee a scholarship but we guide them along asthey pursue their dream of playing in college. In as much as the playerand her family want to access our staff for guidance and support, we willbe available.PAYMENT:LACROSSE MONKEY recognizes that the Tournament season requires significant time and financial commitment. All Lacrosse fees aretransparent. The fees cover: tournament fees, fields/facilities, insurance,team uniform, team practices, and administrative services, and coachingstaff.REFUND POLICY:All payments made to LACROSSE MONKEY are non-refundable.There will be no refunds for injury, illness, dismissal from LACROSSEMONKEY or if a player decides not to play after accepting a spot on ona Team Roster. Players/responsible parties will remain liable for thetotal Team dues with any outstanding fees due within 7 DAYS of notice of departure. Players/responsible parties will be held liable for anyand all attorney, court and administrative costs associated with thecollection of unpaid fees.THERE ARE NO TOURNAMENT REFUNDS. IF A TOURNAMENT IS CANCELED TEAM FAMILIES WILL BE REFUNDED OR CLUB WILL LOOK FOR ANOTHER TOURNAMENT. ONLY IF A CHECK HAS BEEN REFUNDED BACK TO THE CLUB WILL THERE BE REFUNDS. LACROSSE MONKEY DOES NOT PROCESS INDIVIDUAL REFUNDS. KEEP IN MIND ,MANY TOURNAMENTS DO NOT OFFER ANY MONEY BACK IF CANCELED.In case of family emergency or immediate injury, add on tournament fee refunds will be available with medical documentation from a licensed physician. Must be approved by the Club Director.LACROSSE MONKEY has not charged late fees in the past but it is importantto note that tournament fees have to be paid by the club up to ayear in advance to secure spots. We feel in order to make reservationsand commitments we need to collect membership and tournament fees upfront and ask that when families make the commitment to tournaments,the fees get paid by due dates. LACROSSE MONKEY does havepayment plans and will work with families to ensure this financial obligation is accessible for all.RETURNED CHECKS: A $25 fee will be assessedOTHER FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS:LACROSSE MONKEY believes every player should have the option toparticipate in an organized lacrosse team. If you or your family hasfinancial restraints, LACROSSE MONKEY will discuss fundraising andadditional payment options to assist you. Every girl counts!INSURANCE:ALL athletes must be members of US LACROSSE. All venue holdersrequire this of participating athletes. Go to www.uslacrosse.org to registeronline. Failure to supply LACROSSE MONKEY with a valid, current USLacrosse number and expiration date could result in the player's removalfrom the rosters.MEDIA RELEASE:LACROSSE MONKEY will be putting together photos for our website andother printed material. When appropriate, photos and updates of our events will be posted on our website, facebook and other media sources.Each member can be highlighted in such material. By signing the attachedyou give permission to use these photos taken for the above purposes.PARENT PARTICIPATION:LACROSSE MONKEY welcomes parents to assist with various aspects ofthe PROGRAM. We are in need of individuals with special talents such asphotographer, organizer, fundraiser, driver, chaperone etc., to helpthroughout the year. Parent support is important to having a SuccessfulPROGRAM.All players must be a member of US Lacrosse. Player membership can be obtained at www.uslacrosse.org This is a mandatory membership to belong to LAX MONKEY. This is an annual membership and all players must be a current member to be eligible for practice, and/or tournaments.
